Our founder, the late (Honorary) Dr. William Coury, was not an ordinary man. He had a brilliant mind, an inventive spirit, and a magnetic presence that drew people to him.
At just 21 years old, Dr. Coury was struck by a car, suffering severe leg injuries that led to years of medical challenges. His path to healing was long and grueling - six years in a hospital bed, 15 on crutches, and three in a wheelchair.
Determined to take control of his health, Dr. Coury immersed himself in medical research, studying how the body works, where things go wrong, and what it needs to thrive. This relentless pursuit of knowledge not only helped him make a slow but full recovery, but it inspired him to share his knowledge with others. He established an integrative wellness center and formulated a line of innovative nutritional supplements to empower people to take charge of their own health.
When Dr. Coury founded American Nutriceuticals, he did not set out to create ordinary, “me too” supplements, and we have stayed true to that vision since his passing in 2009.
